Georgia Witkin, PhD
Dr. Georgia Witkin is a clinical psychologist specializing in infertility, ovum donation, and therapy for couples. Dr. Witkin completed her post-doctoral studies in behavioral genetics as a National Science Foundation Fellow at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She serves as Director of the Stress Program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is an assistant professor in the department on Obstetrics and Reproductive Science as well as in the department of Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Medical Center. National non-profit organizations RESOLVE and the American Fertility Association have both awarded Dr. Witkin for her work in helping couples and bringing awareness of infertility-related issues to a broad audience through her appearances on television.
Dr. Witkin has published over 10 books on stress and a variety of men and women’s health issues, and is a frequent contributor to publications such as the New York Times, Newsweek, Time, Parade, and Self. She can be seen weekly on the Fox News Channel as a news analyst and guest expert on “Fox & Friends.” Dr. Witkin’s guest appearances also include the Oprah Winfrey Show, 20/20, CBS News, CNN, and the Today Show. |
